Clinical Care Within Your Worldview
Our Clinical and Registered psychologists offer professional, evidence-based counselling that can integrate your Christian faith, if you choose. Our psychology and mental health team are able to support both individuals as well as organisations through our Employee Assistance Programs. We welcome clients of all faith backgrounds and will always respect your boundaries in this way.
We provide compassionate, personalised care for anxiety, depression and other challenges. Medicare rebates are available for all our psychologists if referred with a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP. Please see our fee structures and more information about Medicare subsidies below.

We aim to make our services as accessible and transparent as possible. An overview of fees for the Life Centre are available by selecting an option from the drop down menu.
Please note that full payment is required at the end of each consultation. Payment can be made via EFTPOS or credit card using secure Online Payments. If you are using a valid Mental Health Care Plan, Life To The Full is able claim Medicare rebates instantaneously using online Medicare claiming once you have paid the full session fee.

If you come with a Mental Health Care Plan, you will also receive a Medicare rebate of $149.05 (ie $120.95 per session after the rebate).
Under the Australian Government’s Better Access Initiative, you can come to us with a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) from a referring GP or psychiatrist.
Please ensure that you bring the MHCP with you to your first appointment or have the referring doctor email the Plan to admin@lifetothefull.com.au prior to your appointment.
We understand that these processes can seem complex, so if you have any further questions about how to obtain a Mental Health Care Plan and what it means for your out of pocket expenses, please call or email us for further information.

Mental Health Care Plan
Our psychologists are able to offer subsidised rates for their sessions thanks to the Australian Government’s Better Access Initiative.

It outlines your goals, the types of services you require, and the steps to achieve improved mental well-being.

Generally, anyone experiencing mental health issues, whether acute or chronic, mild or severe, can be considered for a MHCP.
When your doctor undertakes their assessment of your mental health, they will consider a range of factors, including
· The nature of your mental health concerns and issues, whether its anxiety, depression, stress-related disorders, or other conditions.
· The severity and duration of your symptoms. Both long-standing mental health issues and more recent concerns can be grounds for a MHCP.
· The impact on your life and daily functioning.
All these points, and more, will be considered when determining your eligibility for a MHCP.

You will need to book an appointment with your GP/Paediatrician/Psychiatrist and request a Mental Health Care Plan (recommended that you book a long consult for this appointment).
You might be asked to complete a standard questionnaire that will assist the doctor in better understanding your situation.
If your doctor determines that a MHCP is suitable for you, they will complete the required form with all relevant details. The doctor will likely also provide you with a referral letter for you to either contact your chosen psychologist or one they will recommend.

No. The GP referral is a letter or form from your doctor to the psychologist explaining why they are referring you.
The Mental Health Care Plan is completed by your doctor and has sections about your medical requirements, history, Medicare information (including the doctor’s provider number), the number of sessions covered by the plan and the dates for review.
Both the referral and the MHCP must be dated and signed by your doctor.

No, unless you request them to. If you don’t have a preferred psychologist in mind, then the doctor will provide a recommendation, and will address the referral to them.
However, you can choose to take that referral to a different psychologist of your choosing. It must be noted, that under the Medicare scheme a psychologist must be registered with Medicare and have a Medicare Provider Number in order to be able to provide services attracting the Medicare rebate.

One of the significant advantages of a MHCP is the financial support offered through Medicare rebates which makes professional support more accessible. These rebates are available for in-person and telehealth appointments.
Rebate amount: The exact amount of the rebate depends on the service provided and the professional you consult. The rebate per session with a Clinical Psychologist is $149.05 and with a Registered Psychologist is $101.55.
Gap or out-of-pocket payment: this is the difference between the clinician’s full fee charged and the Medicare rebate.
Claiming the rebate: After paying for your session, you can claim your Medicare rebate. Life To The Full offers the convenience of processing this claim directly. Alternatively, you can claim it online through the Medicare website or the Medicare mobile app.
If you have private health care cover, you cannot claim the Medicare rebate in addition to private health claim for the same session.
Extended Medicare Safety Net (EMSN) threshold: The Medicare amount will increase once you reach your individual/family EMSN threshold of $2699 (General) or $861 (Concession Card Holders) where you will then receive back 80% of the out-of-pocket expense for your ongoing sessions with a psychologist.

You can access a total of 10 Medicare rebates for your appointments in this calendar year.
Typically, following 6 Medicare rebated appointments your clinician will write a progress report related to your treatment goals to your referring doctor. You will then be eligible to obtain a re-referral from you doctor for a further 4 Medicare rebated appointments.
Following a further 4 Medicare rebate sessions, your clinician will write a further treatment update to your doctor.

It is important to check that your MHCP from your referring doctor includes the following information, required by Medicare:
· Your name
· Your date of birth
· Your address
· The date of the referral
· Details regarding the services required and the number of sessions
· The doctor’s provider number
· The doctor’s signature
· Other relevant information about mental health care plans, assessments etc
